Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline, magmatites of the Lusatian region. The type locality of the medium-grained porphyric biotite granite (monzogranite) of Jizera type. Phenocrysts of potassium feldspar are as long as 5 - 7 cm. This locality lies in the Protected Landscape Area Lužické hory (the Lusatian Mountains).
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Lugicum - Magmatites of Lugicum
Stratigraphy: variské (hercynské) stáří vyvřelin
